More Minecraft Hama Beads

And yes, they have been told to get off the X-Box again! well....they did go on it for an hour this morning already!
The results are lots of the little weapons that Steve can get hold of.

More monsters of one sort or another ( once again apologies that I do not know what they are called)

And lots of tracks below along with a cart to go on the tracks.....

Now although this is still basing everything around Minecraft at least they are using some memory and other skills here!!!

Glass marble magnets.

Something else I have seen lots of in various places, glass marble magnets. I say marbles, but they are not spheres, the back of them is more or less flat. I got the glass marbles and cut some round bits of paper and used some E600 glue (very smelly but sticks anything), as it dries clear and is brilliant.

This is them drying off...

And when they were dry I turned them over...they look quite good....some needed a little more trimming around.

Colouring Competition

This was way back in the summer holidays but I thought I would show you as I recently found the pictures...My middle son was over the moon when he discovered that he had actually WON his age group in the local colouring competition at Iceland!!! At the beginning of the holiday I had picked up the pictures for the kids to colour and hand in when they were bored one day but I never thought that they may actually win! There were quite a few other entrants in the 3-6 year old age group, but I think it was the bright rainbow stripes that he loves so much at the moment that did it for him!

The others were all very plain (except the divas whose picture is right next to his) However she was not very disappointed as he lets her use the colouring set that he won.

Reindeer Pictures

My Christmas Open House is looming on the horizon....only 21 days to go!!!!!! I found a large number of silver picture frames in our local Wilkinsons a few weeks ago and brought them thinking I will do something soon with them...and I have started!

I have seen so many lovely silhouette pictures on various sites that I thought I could try something similar to make to sell at the Open House.

I googled reindeer silhouettes and the following ones came up which I really liked. So I printed it out and cut it out of black card...it has come out quite well. I used some pretty paper that I had from various magazines.

I also decided to do one on glitter card...I went for green, but am not entirely sure about it...maybe red would work well.

Still the other half thinks they are really nice.

More circle Christmas cards

I think I got a bit carried away with my apparent success with the glitter cards and carried on circle cutting. I made these circles a little smaller though. The paper was free out of a craft magazine but needed using up. And I thought I would stick 3 baubles per card, using a glittery gold pen to finish them off with the writing and the faux stitching around the edges.

I quite like these too!

And them I found some different paper and put the baubles going up at an angle...

I used some Christmas stickers for the writing on these....although I think I actually prefer my writing!

mmm...to sell....or to send.....we shall see come December!

Some more Chrismtas cards

What do you know?...I am getting into this cardmaking! I found some cut out baubles in a craft shop for 25p a pack of 4....not a bad price and using only 2 per card makes it VERY ecconomical!
I used those little sticky backed 3d tape things you can use...there probably IS a name for them..but I cannot for the life of me remember what it is! Drew some gold lines for the string and put some faux stitching around the edges along with my lovely(?) handwriting of Merry Christmas!

As you can see they had other colours as well!

And then I found some dark green card I had stashed away, as I am trying to use all my bits and pieces up this time they were perfect for some more gold baubles!

MMMM....What to do next.....my Open House is getting closer so may do some more cards one evening and see how they go....if they don't I can always post off to friends and family as I quite like them!

More Hand-painted Glassware

I live Fuschias and love them on glass too. I love the lids on these jars, I have no idea where they come from but they are wonderful! With a little pink ribbon tied around the top I think this looks pretty.

I also had this old glass floating around to paint. As it is not you average glass I though I would Christmas it up with a Poinsetta flower:

I am not too sure about how it has turned out but we will see!

Felt bits

Feeling a bit better again today, still sore but can walk much better again now....I guess sometimes I should listen and stop and sit...sooooo boring though! Still a couple of weeks ago I made these bits....
As you can see, I have diverted a little from my normal makes and gone down a felt route. I came across a whole lot of felt in the back of a cupboard that is in a corner of my crafting room and therefore does not get looked in much. I also found a big Roses tin full of my late grandmothers old embroidery threads. So I though I would try to make some.....pocket tissue holders....

I think I need to practice my embroidery a little but overall I think they have came out quite well....If they do not sell at the fairs before Christmas this year, then have a guess what various relatives will be getting?

I also made up these lavender hearts, some keyrings...based on a popular computer game of the moment and some yarn covered foam wreaths.  Friends of the boys will be getting a key ring each for Christmas as I don't think I can actually sell these! They will love them though,

SO SORRY

I am so sorry that last week there was only one post....I was involved in quite a bad car crash on the Monday and everything just went right out the window.

Our car is a total write-off, so my husband dragged me around the second hand car places yesterday pm...what fun...not. I am covered in bruising and ache all over but there was nothing broken for me or the other driver...we were so lucky to come out alive.

All my decorating plans went down the drain, might try and make a start with it this week as I promised myself it would be done by the Half Term holiday at the end of the month. Also have obviously not managed to get out and even mow the lawn which is now looking more like a pasture. We need a sheep!

Hope to be back on form with my postings for the next week!

Christmas Cards

My hand made card empire continues....

I liked making this card, it was very simple to construct with basic red card punches out into sqaures and layed out on a card. Then I found some Christmas stickers to stick onto each one and added a few stars in the corners and some faux stitching around the edges.

I did the same for this one, only using silver card for the squares.

Then, for something a little different I found a flower punch that I have and punched out 10 flowers and used them as a sort of Christmas tree, adding a little bling with some green flat backed jewels that I found.

Glass Jars

I collect so many glass jars and along with simply painting on them, my daughter the Diva likes to glue tissue paper onto them and make tealight holders. We simply cut the tissue paper beforehand then she can choose whichever colours she wants as she goes, and she paints PVA glue onto the glass then puts the tissue onto it and paints over it again with the PVA glue.

As you can see, she is very pleased with her creations. We will probably make several more and she can give them to some of the relatives at Christmas with a tea light candle inside.
